There is NO need to buy expensive shake mixes. All they are is dolled up
protein powder, and it's the "dolling up" that adds the carbs. Just Whites
powdered egg whites are pure protein, carb free and fat-free because it is 100%protein. It also has NO taste, is cheap, is in most grocery stores next to the cocoa and baking stuff, and it is a good solution for those who can't have dairy (whey) or soy.
To make a shake you need about 8 oz of liquid to 1/4 cup of Just Whites.
Everything else is for flavoring and texture. Some of us need some fat to get going, so the cream or cream cheese will help with that component if you need it.
Liquids:
water + Davinci syrup or extracts
diet soda in your favorite flavor
Sweetener (use if you don't use diet soda or a syrup):
1 pkt favorite sweetener (1 carb per packet),
If you add cocoa or coffee crystals it will take a lot more sweetener.
Thickeners:
2 Tbsp heavy cream (.8 carbs)
1 oz cream cheese (mixes up well in blender only, 1 carb)
1/4 cup SF vanilla yogurt
crushed ice
psyllium seed husks (don't count because it is all fiber) |

Breakfast Shake
Handful of ice
About 1/2 c. aloe juice plus 1/2 c. water
2-3T powdered egg whites or 1 scoop protein powder
1T chia seeds or 1-2T flax meal
1T cocoa powder (Hershey's special dark is good!)
1 scoop Profibe water soluble fiber powder
1 scoop Antioxidant greens
1-2T coconut oil
Sweetener of your choice to taste
Blend well and drink. You can add cream or any other dairy product of you choice if you want a creamier shake. |

One more...
Handful of ice
About 1/3 can of coconut milk
Sweetener of your choice to taste
2-3T egg white powder or 1 scoop protein powder
1-2T coconut oil
1T cocoa
A splash of DaVinci's sf coconut or a bit of coconut extract
A little bit of water to thin it a bit.
Blend and drink!
If you don't want chocolate follow the basic recipe but use Diet V8 fruit juice for the water and any fruit flavored sf DaVinci's. It's more like a fruit smoothie. If it's allowed on your plan, add frozen fruit instead of ice, too! |

Oh Thank you SO MUCH mamagiff! Perfect!
One question - I saw something about using diet soda. When you blend it the soda won't explode or cause any problems? _________________

When I made the shake with the tropical, I added pineapple or coconut flavoring and for the berry, I added different berry flavors. The coconut milk makes it creamier, too! |

I've read about shakes made with soda and everyone said they were good. I don't keep soda at home so I usually make the shakes in the other recipes. |

thanks! Definitely gonna have to try the Turtle Shake. That one really caught my eye. lol
My protein shakes:
Vanilla Protein Whey Powder
about 4 oz of water or milk
about 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
throw in some ground flax seed
handful of frozen berries.....sometimes blueberry, sometime strawberry, and sometimes a mixture of those 2 and raspberries.
If I don't have frozen berries I put ice in it instead. Sometimes I've put some sf strawberry-banana or sf peach jello powder in it for flavor also if I don't use berries. _________________ Outdoor Garden Furniture & Garden Decor

| I've also done shakes with raw spinach in them and they were good. Couldn't taste the spinach, got the extra nutrition. But too much raw spinach doesn't agree with me so I had to quit that. I would just make the fruity or chocolate shake and add a few handfuls of spinach. |
